Actons, the leading independent law firm in Nottingham, has announced two new solicitor appointments as the firm continues to grow.
Aalia Omar has joined the firm’s corporate & commercial team as a solicitor. Aalia qualified in 2024 and has since gained experience at Browne Jacobson before moving to Actons. She advises businesses on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including business sales and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and governance.
Commenting on her appointment, Peter Flowerday, director & head of corporate & commercial, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Aalia to the team. She brings strong experience and an excellent track record of advising businesses on a wide variety of matters. Her arrival supports the continued growth of our team and the service we offer to clients.”
Aneeka Dosanjh has also qualified as a solicitor and joined the private client team. Aneeka trained with Actons, gaining experience across multiple departments, before qualifying into the firm’s specialist team advising on wills, probate, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney.
Heather Parker, director & head of private client, commented: “It’s always fantastic to see talented lawyers qualify into the profession, and even more rewarding when they’ve trained and developed with us. Aneeka has already shown great commitment and skill during her training contract, and I’m delighted that she has chosen to continue her career at Actons. I know she will be an excellent addition to our team and provide a first-class service to our clients.”
Simon Dakin, chairman at Actons, added: “These appointments reflect our ongoing focus on developing and attracting high calibre lawyers to the firm. I’m delighted to welcome Aalia to Actons and congratulate Aneeka on her qualification. Both will play an important role in supporting our clients and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.”
Actons continues to build on its position as Nottingham’s leading independent law firm, providing expert advice across corporate & commercial, private client, family, employment, property, dispute resolution and personal injury.
