Law firm Stone King has recruited partners James Fox, Bernard Ralph and Laura McHugh.
Fox joins Stone King’s commercial team, based in the London office. He joins from Gardner Leader and brings over 20 years’ experience advising businesses on commercial contracts, procurement, digital transformation projects, data protection and strategic transactions.
Fox held senior in-house legal roles at Capita and Reliance, as well as international law firms Dentons and K&L Gates. He has supported organisations on software licensing, technology-enabled services, data protection and business-critical commercial contracts.
Ralph joins Stone King’s London office from Knights and will spearhead a new nationwide planning team. Dual-qualified in the UK and Australia, he brings more than 20 years’ experience advising a varied client base through all elements of the planning process. Clients include residential and commercial developers, aviation and leisure companies and public sector bodies.
McHugh joins the firm’s Manchester office from Forbes Solicitors, bringing almost 17 years’ experience in employment law, having previously worked at Eversheds Sutherland, and Manchester firm JMW Solicitors. She has significant education sector expertise, regularly advising colleges, schools, academy trusts, and higher education institutions. She has also been a trusted advisor to a number of local authorities and housing associations, particularly in the North West.
