Machins Solicitors LLP has promoted Holly Baker to partner within the firm’s dispute resolution team.
Baker joined Machins as a trainee solicitor in 2016, before qualifying in 2018. She became an associate in 2022 and senior associate in 2024.
Baker specialises in property and commercial litigation. Her portfolio includes multi-million-pound property disputes, emergency injunctions and structural defect claims. She is also a member of the Property Litigation Association and plays a key role managing the trainee solicitor recruitment at Machins.
Baker founded the Machins Business Mixer, a Luton-based networking group, and co-leads Generation20, a networking initiative for junior professionals in the region.

Machins has also promoted Joe Colley to senior associate in the private family law team, and Jennifer Browne (public family team), Philip Bain (employment team) and Dan Bradley (company commercial team) to associate solicitors.
