Ellisons has promoted residential property lawyer Marion Knocker to its partnership.
Knocker, who will be based in the firm’s Colchester office, advises on residential conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold transactions, remortgages and new build purchases. With over 20 years’ experience, she works closely with a number of established estate agents across Colchester and the surrounding area.
Guy Longhurst, Ellisons managing partner, commented: '[Marion] is focused on providing clear, independent advice and on making sure clients feel properly supported throughout what can be a pressurised process. In a relatively short space of time at Ellisons, she has had a positive impact on our Residential Property team. We were delighted when Marion joined the firm 18 months ago and are pleased to welcome her to the Partnership. It is great news for our clients, colleagues and contacts in the residential property sector.'
Knocker, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX), added: 'What attracted me to Ellisons was its strong local reputation and the way clients are looked after. Over the past year or so I have seen that first hand, working with colleagues who care about quality, integrity and consistency. Being part of a firm that is genuinely connected to the local community matters to me, and becoming a Partner gives me the opportunity to build on that while continuing to support clients as they move with confidence.'
