Gloucestershire law firm WSP Solicitors has appointed Camella Cephas as its new managing director.
Cephas joined WSP Solicitors in 2020, becoming a board director and head of children & care law in 2022. She is an accredited member of the Law Society’s children panel.
Cephas will take over the managing director role from Judi Bonham, who has held the position since 2015. Bonham will remain with WSP Solicitors as board director and children law solicitor with a continued focus on learning and development.
Cephas commented: 'It’s a real privilege to step into the role of Managing Director and to follow in Judi’s footsteps. Judi leaves a fantastic legacy, her exceptional leadership and dedication has been instrumental in leading WSP Solicitors to where we are today.'
Head of commercial property Amy Leivers will step up to deputy managing director, a new role at the firm. Leivers joined in 2017, becoming a board director in 2022. She will oversee operations ensuring they are aligned to WSP Solicitors’ wider strategic goals.
Leivers said: 'I am truly excited about what the future holds for the firm under Camella’s leadership. In line with our strategic plan, Camella brings a clear vision for growth, an ambition that matches the drive we see across the firm.'
WSP Solicitors is over 260 years old and employs 64 legal professionals and team members. It covers private client, residential conveyancing, family law, commercial property and corporate law. Earlier this year the firm opened two new offices: one in Gloucester and another in Stroud.
