European intellectual property firm Withers & Rogers has announced four promotions to the partnership, spanning two of its UK-based offices in Leamington Spa and London.

The four, newly-appointed partners are Diego Black, who is based at the firm’s Leamington Spa office, and Philip Horler, Justin Wilson and Greg Stepney, who are all based in London. Diego and Philip are patent attorneys within the firm’s electronics, computing and physics group, and Justin and Greg are patent attorneys within its life sciences & chemistry team.

In addition, Ernst-Ulrich Wittmann has joined the firm’s Munich office as partner. His appointment will further improve services for UK and international clients seeking patent protection in Germany and across Europe.

Karl Barnfather, chairman of Withers & Rogers, said:  'These promotions to the partnership reflect our firm’s continued growth and strong cross-industry demand for specialist intellectual property advice and services, delivered by people with commercial understanding. The appointment at our Munich office is also a mark of the success of the local team and its strong ties with the local business community.'
