Two City firms are facing employment tribunals for alleged discrimination this summer.
An application for sex and disability discrimination and discrimination on grounds of maternity was lodged for Ramit Hacco-Cohn against her former employer Ince & Co last month.
An application for discrimination was lodged for Robert Schon against Simmons & Simmons - where he is a partner in the tax department - on 19 July.
A spokesman for Ince & Co said: 'We can confirm that we have received an application from the employment tribunal in respect of our former assistant Ramit Hacco-Cohn, who was dismissed by us in April of this year following a detailed and fair disciplinary process. The allegations made by Mrs Hacco-Cohn in her application are very disappointing and entirely without substance and will be vigorously defended in the course of these proceedings.'
Marianne Wheatley, a partner in London firm Bevan Kidwell who is acting for Ms Hacco-Cohn, said: 'Ms Hacco-Cohn is very aggrieved at the way in which she has been treated and will be pursuing these proceedings vigorously.'
A spokesman for Simmons & Simmons said: 'We have received a complaint. We will be filing a defence at the appropriate time. Given that the matter is now before the tribunal, it would be inappropriate to make any comment at this time.'
Colin Harvey, a partner in the London office of Weightmans who is acting for Mr Schon, said he too could not comment.
