Co-operative Legal Services has today launched a ‘one-call accident management service’ for brokers and insurers in a bid increase its motor claims work.
The new service will offer the full range of services – legal and non-legal – needed to resolve claims following a road traffic accident.
It will take responsibility for services including providing assistance and recovery at the scene of the accident, organising a replacement vehicle and managing vehicle repair, including providing online repair tracking. The Co-op has made an arrangement with Total Accident Management to provide some services.
CLS Accident Management will also notify and liaise with underwriters, as well as dealing with the legal work on the claim.
Jonathan Gulliford, sales and marketing director of Co-operative Legal Services, told the Gazette his goal was to win more personal injury and uninsured loss legal work from insurers and fleet car companies through the scheme.
He added that the Co-operative model had proved highly successful at weathering the financial downturn, putting it in a good position to offer these new services.
Co-operative Legal Services managing director Eddie Ryan said: ‘With the economic challenges facing many providers, we believe there is an opportunity to leverage the power and financial strength of the Co-operative brand.
‘We will provide an ethical and reliable customer-focused service that gets people mobile and achieves claim resolution as quickly as possible.’
