Most recognisable deal: City firm Clyde & Co acted for Leptis Magna on the £16 million reverse takeover of Telephonetics Interactive Voice Systems, a UK-based telecoms company that develops speech recognition applications. City firms Taylor Wessing and Trowers & Hamlins advised the vendors and broker WH Ireland respectively.
Most jet-powered deal: London firm Mishcon de Reya acted for Formjet on its acquisition of software business SouthCoast Distributions for £2.1 million. Sole practitioner Nicholas Hart advised SouthCoast.
Most historic deal: Manchester firm Pannone & Partners has advised Seddon Altrincham on a deal to redevelop Altrincham's historic town hall. London firm Nabarro Nathanson advised Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council.
Most clickety-click deal: London firm Finers Stephens Innocent advised Top Ten Holdings on its acquisition of Westvale Leisure for £5.4 million. Westvale operates 13 bingo clubs in the midlands and north of England. Reading firm Pitmans advised the Royal Bank of Scotland, while Nottingham firm Browne Jacobson acted for the vendors.
Most fluid deal: City firm Ashurst advised aerospace and defence group Meggitt on the £8 million acquisition of Avery-Hardoll, which manufactures products used in airline ground refuelling. Bournemouth firm Lester Aldridge acted for Cobham Fluid Systems, the vendor.
Cyberdeal: City firm Berwin Leighton Paisner advised Cyberscan Technology on its £91 million flotation on the Alternative Investment Market. The Cyberscan group provides downloadable server-based gaming systems and supplies fixed-odds betting terminals to bookmakers such as Ladbrokes and William Hill. The London office of US firm McDermott Will & Emery advised the broker, Collins Stewart.
