Wheeliest deal: Lewis Silkin advised Haymarket Magazines on its acquisition of motorcycle magazine Two Wheels Only, advised by fellow City firm Gold Mann & Co.
Cheekiest deal: London firm Harbottle & Lewis has registered celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's new charity, Cheeky Chops, as a charity in England and Wales.
Its aim is to train unemployed young people in catering and work for six months in Mr Oliver's new restaurant, Fifteen, as featured in a Channel 4 series.
Most watery deal: Herbert Smith acted for the British Waterways Board on its partnership with AWG and Bristol Water Holdings, advised by Pinsent Curtis Biddle, to form Watergrid, a new national water joint venture between the public and private sectors.
Partnerships UK, which assisted British Waterways with the procurement and is also investing in the joint venture, was advised in-house.
Best constructed deal: Reading firm Pitmans acted for the vendors of IT company Independent Building Solutions in a buy-in management buy-out to create Independent Building Services, advised by Heatons in Birmingham.
Fellow Birmingham firm Gateley Wareing represented the Bank of Scotland over 5 million of funding.
Most logical deal: Linklaters is acting for CMG on its recommended 1.2 billion merger with Logica, advised by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
Most studenty deal: Worcester firm Harrison Clark acted for Campus Media on its 1.2 million purchase of marketing communications agency Get Real!, which specialises in developing brands in the student sector.
Best regenerated deal: City firm Fenners acted for Arrowcroft Group on its development agreement with the London Borough of Croydon, advised by Birmingham's Wragge & Co, for the 300 million regeneration of the Croydon 'Gateway' site, which has stood untouched since 1945 because the landowners could not agree an acceptable development.
Arrowcroft, along with arena operator Stadivarios - which was advised by City firm Fladgate Fielder - are submitting plans for a multi-purpose 12,500 seat arena and associated development.
City firm Vizard Oldham Brooke Blain is acting for architects Michael Orchid.
Best plastered deal: Pontefract firm Moxon & Barker acted for Kesteven Roofing Centre on its 2.9 million sale to roofing products company SIG, advised by Pinsent Curtis Biddle.
