Smelliest deal: The Guildford office of Clyde & Co acted on the start-up of StarScents and on its deal for the rights to use Cliff Richard's name in the launch of 'Miss You Nights', a perfume named after his 1975 hit.

Gassiest deal: City firm Trowers & Hamlins is acting for the government of Jordan on the $300 million (165 million) Jordanian gas transportation pipeline project, which is expected to achieve financial close within the next few weeks.

Most caring deal: US/UK firm Jones Day advised Sovereign Capital on the 22 million institutional buyout of Herts Care Group, a provider of crisis care homes for children and young people.

HSBC Specialised Financing, advised by Eversheds, provided an acquisition debt and revolving credit facility, while London firm Marriott Harrison acted for the management and north London-based Curwens for the vendors.
