Most regenerative deal: Chester firm Aaron & Partners advised Alfred McAlpine on the sale of a 20-acre development site at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, to brownfield land regeneration specialist Bridgemere Properties for an undisclosed sum. Bridgemere was advised by its in-house legal team.


Smelliest deal: City firm Field Fisher Waterhouse advised the majority owners of Dyno-Rod, the drain maintenance specialist, on the sale of the group to Centrica, owner of British Gas, for £58 million. British Gas was advised by its in-house team and by the Birmingham office of City-based Eversheds.



Most organised deal: City firm Travers Smith Braithwaite acted for ALL3MEDIA on its acquisition of Company Television from George Faber and Charles Pattinson for an undisclosed sum. Company's credits include the TV programmes 'Shameless' and 'Serious and Organised', as well as the recent film 'The Life and Death of Peter Sellers'. London media firm Marriott Harrison acted for the sellers.



Sloaniest deal: The London office of US/UK firm Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw advised Unilever on the sale of its global headquarters, Unilever House, in London to Sloane Blackfriars for an undisclosed sum. City firm Nabarro Nathanson advised the purchaser, while national firm Addleshaw Goddard acted for the lender, Anglo Irish Bank Corporation.



Most Herculean deal: City firm Nicholson Graham & Jones is advising Hercules Property Services on its acquisition of Berkeley Simmons Davis, property consultants to the leisure industry, for an undisclosed sum. Regional firm Blake Lapthorn Linnell acted for Berkeley.



Most clockwork deal: Hertfordshire-based Pictons acted for Cuckoo Holdings, the computer and IT products distributor, on its refinancing with Barclays Bank. Cambridge firm Taylor Vinters acted for Cuckoo's management, while the Reading office of Osborne Clarke advised Barclays.
