Getting a roasting It's nothing but the high life being associated with City giant Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
Rather than sit down to their usual, somewhat Oliver Twist-like fare of 'nourishing soup and bread', the 150 homeless people visiting the Providence Row drop-in centre in the East End of London on St George's Day were treated to a full spread of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding bought and cooked by 15 Freshfields solicitors.
Providence Row is the firm's chosen charity and even the Lord Mayor of London dropped in; not because he is homeless or was hungry, we are assured, but to commend the firm's community work.
Pictured below are solicitor Alex Oates and partner Thomas Joyce, who was able to pull rank and assume the vital role of doling out the Yorkshire pud.
