Model professional: Fulfilling the wish of a client or two perhaps, Manchester-based Eversheds lawyer Kelly Murphy found herself abandoned on a remote desert island recently with little more than her wits.

To extend the fantasy analogy, although of a different sort, she found herself stranded with a trio of models (as well as two other lawyers - a barrister and another solicitor, Majid Ditta of Blackburn firm Forbes & Co).

The two groups were left on the Thai island of the Golden Buddha to see who would cope better - tasks included building a shelter, catching fish and cooking cockroaches - and the results were filmed by the BBC for a forthcoming series, The Bare Necessities.

Ms Murphy, who on the left shows how she had to shed more than just her easy western lifestyle, recalled: 'The worst aspects were the rain and being eaten alive by the local bugs.

I developed quite a severe allergic reaction to the bites and had to receive medical attention, but not before being filmed like the female version of the Elephant Man.' Better, apparently, were the deep-fried cockroaches.

Which team gained more points and the prize of a luxury stay in a Malaysian resort remains, however, a closely guarded secret.
