The road to nowhere

What some solicitors will do for their clients constantly amazes us.

When Kelda Group organised a charity challenge involving 50 miles of walking, 20,000 feet of ascent, two sea crossings and a 1,000 mile drive, all within a 72-hour time limit, most sensible people would have run for the hills (other, less steep hills, rather than the six mountains at the centre of the challenge, naturally).

But if the organiser is a client, then you strap on your backpack, pressgang a few assistants to join in, and smile through the pain.

Which is what this group of intrepid explorers from northern firm Addleshaw Booth & Co did, and managed to raise 6,000 for WaterAid.

There is one alternative explanation for the picture, however.

It involves the chap holding the map saying: 'The route to partnership here is how long?'
