Chester City Council's legal team has chosen Axxia Systems as its preferred technology partner. Axxia will roll out its time recording, case manager and reporting applications to the 20-strong department.
Liverpool-based MSB Solicitors has selected Eclipse to implement a practice-wide software upgrade. The 30-staff firm will roll out Eclipse's Proclaim case management software across its offices in Allerton and Wavertree. It is also investing in Proclaim Accounts, Eclipse's integrated practice management solution.
Four firms have selected Linetime's Liberate practice management and case management software: Hutchinson & Buchanan in Ripon, Hull-based Ivesons, Martineau Johnson in Birmingham, and Crawley practice Stevensdrake.
Meldrum Young - the recently merged firm combining Gordon Young & Co and Alastair Meldrum & Co - has signed an order to roll out DPS One Office to all staff across its offices in Luton, Watford, St Albans, Enfield and Hertford. The five-partner, 35 fee-earner criminal law practice will use One Office to replace its existing in-house billing and accounts system via a wide area network.
Some 38 practices have signed up to MSS's AlphaLAW software in the last three months. They include: London firm Beveridge & Co, Bournemouth-based Neville-Jones & Co, Gloucester firm Rowberry Morris, and Bristol practice Cale Palmer.
National firm Halliwells has selected Lexis Nexis Interface Software's InterAction as its client relationship management solution. The system will link the firm's offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and London, providing a practice-wide perspective on client relationships.
Nottingham firm Browne Jacobson has chosen Visualfiles' M2 file management tool. M2 will provide a platform for the management of non-matter specific projects, workflow and product development. National firm Beachcroft Wansbroughs has also selected Visualfiles to provide a common fee-earner support system. This will cover risk management, e-mail and document management via a Microsoft Outlook interface, and integration with its practice management system.
Leeds-based Lupton Fawcett has implemented the SRC WinScribe digital dictation solution on a firm-wide basis. Prior to introducing WinScribe, the firm had been using an analogue tape dictation system.
Birmingham and London firm Martineau Johnson is to roll out nFlow's digital dictation to 238 users, after a successful pilot trial using both desktop client applications and portable dictation devices. Future plans include delivering the system to users over its Citrix infrastructure, as well as integration with Interwoven's document management software.
North Yorkshire Law has implemented the BigHand digital dictation software across five offices - three in Scarborough, one in Whitby, and one in Helmsley.
