The inaugural London International Disputes Week had a serious purpose: to promote the capital's strengths as the world's leading legal centre. But it also demonstrated that London lawyers know how to have a good time, with a special Law Rocks gig at the very classy Café de Paris in the West End.

The evening featured three winners of past Law Rocks battles of lawyers' bands: Totally Without Merit (TWM Solicitors) Trowers & Hamlins' Skinless Lizards and the IM Beats (Irwin Mitchell).

Law Rocks has raised more than $4m for charities around the world and celebrates its tenth anniversary next month. The rules: bands made up of legal professionals (they are allowed one ringer) must play covers rather than inflicting their own material on the audience.

From TWM's opener Valerie through to the Lizards' Teenage Dirtbag and numerous encores from the IM Beats duo, the joint was jumping.
