Turnover at international firm Kennedys rose 10% to £128.5m in 2013/14 – with £98.3m attributed to UK activity, the firm reported today.

The firm said its aviation practice Gates and Partners boosted turnover in the UK, Singapore and Dubai and its tie-in with Bogota-based insurance law boutique Botero Salazar Tobón & Abogados increased reach in Latin America.

The firm now has 19 offices and a headcount of 1,200 across the globe.

Senior partner Nick Thomas said a number of ‘strong lateral hires’ and the firm’s Gates and Partners merger ‘contributed to another positive year’.

He said the firm is ‘continuing to explore opportunities for international expansion’ and remains ‘very focused on driving operational effectiveness throughout our network of offices.’

Kennedys did not release a profit figure for the year.

According to the firm’s Companies House filing in 2012/13 turnover rose 4.4% to £111.6m compared with 2011/12 and profits were static at £19m.

UK turnover was £77.4m of the firm’s total revenue. The highest-paid member received equity of £549,000 in 2012/13, up from £518,500 in 2011/12.
