Colin Passmore has been re-elected to serve a third term as senior partner at international firm Simmons & Simmons.

The four-year term will commence on 1 August.

Passmore joined the firm in 1986, became a partner in 1990 and senior partner in 2011. His practice focuses on litigation for financial institutions, professional services firms and insurance entities. He is also one of the profession’s leading spokespeople on legal professional privilege.

Passmore said: ’Over the past six years, a great deal has changed for professional services, but it’s clear that more change is still to come. The current market offers many challenges and many rewards and I welcome the opportunity to continue my work as we build on our strengths to meet our clients’ needs.’

Jeremy Hoyland, managing partner at Simmons & Simmons, added: ’This is a strong endorsement of the leadership Colin has shown as the firm’s senior partner since 2011.’
