The Law Society has accredited the first group of firms to its new Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme. The Society said the scheme is the first recognised standard for wills and estate administration in England and Wales. Since October, 20 firms have been accredited.

Society president Nicholas Fluck said: ‘Accredited firms can use the branding to promote their business, while consumers can make informed choices about who is best placed to write their will or administer probate. We have had an excellent response to the scheme.’
