Depends which stage it settled. But say an RTA was disposed of at trial, Table 6B confirms costs of the total of (a) £2,655; and (b) 20% of the damages agreed or awarded; and (c) the relevant trial advocacy fee.

In your example, you'd receive £82,655 profit costs plus vat and dibs.

I'd argue you'd receive far more if the case was budgeted and went to PA or DA. But then again, you never know.

At least there is some relative certainty to fixed costs, but is entirely dependant upon quantum and knowing what quantum is when embarking upon the claim.
