As a conveyancing solicitor, will those regulated by the CLC also need to publish their costs? Are we not already under a duty to make our costs clear?

I am all for being up front with our costs, but generally a solicitor is more expensive, as they have had far more training than a paralegal. This is what we can explain to them when they *phone* for a quote. If we are a couple of hundred pounds more expensive on our website, the client may not phone in the first place so we can 'sell' ourselves a bit more.

It's almost as if firms do not have enough regulatory requirements to go through as it is, whilst seeing fees becoming more and more 'competitive'.
