My father had a brain aneurism in 1997 which left him with a short term memory and lack of capacity to weight up information to make Decisions , this year I was told he has LPA over him by his partners freinds . Which was done
two years ago. As you can imagine I was shocked, as I’m very involved in my fathers life including his care needs. How can this of happened when my fathers doesn’t have the capacity to make an LPA? Plus why was my sister and I not told? Also my father has no knowledge of the LPA .
I went to the OPG they said I need proof at that time he made the LPA
So they can’t continue their investigation. I’ve applied with my sister for court protection, and paid the fees.
Please could someone help, we love our father dearly we want him protected.
