I believe the so called 'super exam' (in the place of a law degree/GDL plus the LPC) is a poorly conceived idea. I am all for promoting wider opportunities for people to enter the profession - but absolutely not at the expense of the perceived quality (or integrity) of our profession. Our MPs are right to request further scrutiny. Would anyone want a 'surgeon' without a medical degree operating on them who was able to get a job simply because they'd worked in a hospital for a bit and passed a multiple choice exam? I wouldn't.
