#MeToo James, totally agree.

As a woman 50 years young, I have been vocal throughout my life. I have stood up to racism and unwanted male attention (I was attractive and received more than my fair share). I can honestly say with my hand on my heart that at no time did they not back off. Men supported me in that, but women generally did not and who would often criticise me (I assume through jealousy).

You see, I never considered what I might lose, but what I would and would not put up with. And there in lies the answer to empowering folk, where is that line in the sand people can't cross - what are your values and morals?

Many of these woman speaking on the subject claim to be feminists but many are far from that. They have said nothing for decades for their own (often not always) selfish reasons of self-preservation. That silence enabled and fed the bad behaviour of some rotten apples.

My greatest fear, because of the huge publicity given to generated by those jumping on a band-waggon, is that they don't understand or appreciate what is really behind it or what feminism actually is.

Feminism has always been about equality for all and women's freedom of choice being unfettered. It is not about women being more equal than men. I am hugely offended and concerned by these hoards of women acting as judge, jury and executioner on the whispers of others. These men are innocent until proven guilty so let's see them in court, tried and convicted before any more careers or reputations are destroyed.

I fear that unless I (and other women) speak out against this current trend in which women appear to be making demands that would see them with more, not equal, rights to men, unnecessary and avoidable discrimination will be suffered by all.
