Anon 09:39 - And what about the employees at Defendant firms? Are they still going to be employed? I have actually heard from someone who works in a large north west PI defendant factory that the company line is that they will not be affected as they are an "insurance services providers" not a law firm. Also a leading Claimant firm who are telling their staff they have the technology in place to survive and can replicate existing models (where staff numbers are low and they are paid very little to press buttons to run processes) I.e. don't look for new jobs until we decide to make you redundant. There will be mass redundancies and in areas such as the north west the competition for jobs is going to be fierce due to the numbers of people. If you're heart's not in it and you are handling low value RTA claims, regardless of being claimant or defendant, make a move sooner rather than later.
