I wouldn't go that far. It's right that the sole ground for divorce should be the irretrievable breakdown of a marriage. However no-one can say that a marriage has broken down irretrievably five minutes after the first serious row. It takes time to see if, and then appreciate that, a marriage has broken down irretrievably. That shouldn't take five years but it'll take more than five minutes.
