Surely the SRA should be looking into the firm that put this young lady into the position she found herself in?

Both SRA and Law Society should also look very carefully at mental wellbeing of their members and ways to prevent these ever increasing issues arising elsewhere. The SRA serves no purpose if it is totally punitive.

Mental Health issues are very serious in all walks of life and the SRA/Law Society cannot be allowed to bury their heads in the sand on the issue. The whole assumption that Solicitors should simply accept stress, anxiety, depression as part of their job needs to stop.
