As per 14:24 that's as historically, politically and jurisprudentially accurate as 1066 and all that.

As for free trade: you do realise that trading within or with a jurisdiction requires you to meet the standards of that jurisdiction? If we want to sell widgets to the EU, US, China or where ever those widgets will need to conform to their standards: and more so with financial and other services.

Small countries follow larger countries blocks and we will be no different: the only freedom gained will be the freedom not to be involved in the decision making process to which you will be subject.

The idea that you will be somehow free, untrammeled by the constrained, released from the yoke of Belgian bureaucracy and basking in the glory of a naked and innocent legal status striding across the globe like Adonis (and I don't mean Andrew) seizing the initiate and striking trade deals solely on your terms is as credible as your historical precis.

Our as AG GC QC would put it.
