This charitable fund was established in 1974, independent and in close collaboration with The Law Society (TLS), making grant awards to a wide range of organisations with a view to further law and justice. The Charity supports organisations whose work is related to the law and legal profession; and whose activities would likely benefit from funds made available on behalf of solicitors.
The Officers’ Association (OA) exists to help officers find employment and to provide advice and support to relieve hardship amongst those who have held a commission in the Armed Forces, their families and dependants. We support serving, reservist and former officers to enable them to achieve a sustainable and fulfilling transition from military to civilian life. We proudly champion the skills and qualities of the officer job seeker to employers.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is the charity that saves lives at sea, and we’ve saved over 142,200 lives since our inception in 1824. We provide a 24-hour search and rescue service from 238 lifeboat stations around the coasts and inland waterways of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
The Not Forgotten provides events for wounded serving personnel and disabled veterans, which improve physical and mental health, address isolation and loneliness, and promote a sense of community and balance. This enables beneficiaries to live a normal, if not better life.
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is the Army’s National Charity. Originally established as the Army Benevolent Fund in 1944, we provide a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families from every conflict.
The Actors’ Benevolent Fund was founded in 1882 by Sir Henry Irving to care for actors and actresses unable to work because of accidents, illness or old age. The Fund helps in a variety of ways, all of which are geared towards maintaining independence and improving quality of life.

Whether it was Scholars finding innovative ways to 3D print face visors at home, Formula 1 manufacturers switching production to make ventilators, or companies producing millions of doses of vaccines in a hurry - without engineering none of this would be possible.
