Age UK Wandsworth is a small, local, self-sustaining Charity and we are independent of the national charity Age UK. All our money is raised locally and spent supporting the older residents of Wandsworth Borough. Our motivation is to help everyone to ‘age well in Wandsworth’. We provide a range of services to support older people to access the money they are entitled to, a home that is safe and warm, food in the kitchen, information and advice about issues that concern them, and connections to combat loneliness and isolation.
We have been a cornerstone of support for older residents in the borough for over 60 years. Our Age Well Together service includes befriending, support transitioning home from hospital and handyperson help. Our purpose-built Day Centre is for a mixed-client group of older people, adults with disabilities, and adults with dementia. Our Outreach programme offers Wandsworth residents digital inclusion programs, exercise classes, and more.
Our work has a profound and positive impact, reducing social isolation, improving well-being, and enabling older people to contribute actively to their communities. This has been recognised at the Wandsworth Business Awards where we have won “Best Charity” in 2024 and 2025.
