St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney has provided compassionate palliative care to people across East London since we opened in 1905.
Each year, we care for around six thousand people per year on our wards, in people’s homes, over the phone on our 24/7 support line or at our Day Hospice. We see the person, not the patient, and we are there to support not just them but also their loved ones. Our care is always completely free of charge.
We need to raise £6 million a year to continue to provide for our community in this way. Gifts left in Wills are crucial to the survival of St Joseph’s Hospice, with 1 in 7 of our patients cared for thanks to our supporters who have left a gift in their Will. With rising costs and a growing demand for hospice services, a residuary or pecuniary gift can help to ensure we can continue to offer our care to everyone who needs us, now and in the future.
