Leading South East law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore is excited to welcome Christopher Walker who joins the firm today as an equity partner in its renowned private client team. He joins from Adams & Remers in Lewes where he was a partner and head of private client for the last 14 years. This is a significant lateral hire for the firm as it looks to build on the growing success of its private client practice, which has been serving generations of clients since 1570.

Christopher has extensive expertise in advising UK resident and non-domiciled clients on a range of personal matters, from the creation of wills and trusts, through to estate planning. He also acts as a trustee for family trusts, and specialises in advising on all aspects of the taxation and administration of trusts. Christopher will work alongside Nicola Plant, Head of the private client team, to further build on its client base and reach in the South East region.

Under Nicola’s strong leadership in the past year, Thomson Snell & Passmore’s private client practice has flourished financially. In the year ending 5 June 2017, the private client practice grew by 7%.

Nicola Plant, head of the private client team at Thomson Snell & Passmore, comments: ’We extend a very warm welcome to Christopher, who will be an invaluable addition to the team. His substantial experience will greatly contribute to the service that we provide to our clients. This demonstrates our commitment to attracting leading lawyers in their fields, in addition to focusing on the continuous organic growth of our own talent, in order to build upon Thomson Snell & Passmore’s 450 years of heritage and expertise.’

Commenting on his appointment, Christopher Walker says: ’I am excited to be joining Thomson Snell & Passmore, an established firm with an incredibly rich history. I look forward to working with Nicola and the rest of the private client team to advise both our domestic and non-resident clients.’
