Manchester and Glossop based law firm Davis Blank Furniss has appointed head of property litigation Seán Hackett as an equity partner.

Hackett's experience in real estate litigation, landlord and tenant disputes and advisory work spans development site constraints, professional negligence claims arising from property matters, and real estate strategy in M&A transactions. He primarily acts for property developers, commercial landlords and tenants, and portfolio owners.
Hackett also cohosts Portfolio, the firm’s property law podcast.
Before joining Davis Blank Furniss in 2023, Hackett was head of the property litigation department at Myerson Solicitors and director in the property litigation team at Pannone Corporate.
His promotion follows the retirement of partner Andrew Ryan, who has been with the firm for 23 years.
Hackett joins the equity partnership alongside Richard Hamilton, Kate Oldfield and Sonio Singh.
