Bury and Bolton-based law firm Clough & Willis has appointed Ryan Browne to partner.

Browne, who joined Clough & Willis in 2022 as a solicitor, was promoted to senior associate in 2024. He previously worked at a Manchester-based firm specialising in estate administration matters.

Browne advises on private client matters including the drafting of wills, estate administration, grant applications, inheritance tax returns, deputyships and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

He commented: 'I’m incredibly proud to become a partner at Clough & Willis. Since arriving at the firm, I’ve been supported in a meaningful way which has developed my skill set and experience. The whole team’s commitment to their clients, and our deep roots in the local community, align perfectly with my own values, so stepping into this role feels like a natural and exciting next chapter.'

Nicola Finbow, head of the private client team, added: 'Ryan’s appointment is thoroughly deserved. His technical ability, client focused approach and dedication to delivering high quality advice have made a real impact on both his direct team and the wider firm. He has consistently demonstrated leadership and initiative, and I have no doubt he will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Private Client offering.'
