International firm Addleshaw Goddard will bolster its staff bonus pot by another £3m after a year of double-digit profit growth.

The firm revealed today that its distributable profit in the year to 30 April increased by 17% to £262m, on revenues rising by the same proportion to £644m. This was the ninth consecutive year of revenue and profit increases. Profit per equity partner stood at £1.1m.

Alongside its results the firm announced that the annual staff bonus pot is increasing from £19m to £22m.

Andrew Johnston, managing partner, said: ‘We have delivered impressive headline growth by strengthening our client relationships, taking increased market share and winning clients in new and existing markets.

‘Every part of our business has taken a step forward with strong performances right across all of our sectors and markets. Financial services and real estate made a particularly significant contribution, alongside rapid expansion in sectors such as energy and utilities, industrial and advanced manufacturing and technology.’

In the year, global headcount rose by 9% to 3,216, following openings of new offices in Warsaw and Abu Dhabi. A further office in Amsterdam will be added tomorrow with the integration of local firm Florent.

In total, more than one third of the staff moved office during the year, through the relocation to flagship headquarters in London and moves in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Riyadh.
