Best retailed deal: Allen & Overy acted for Philip Green's Taveta Investments on its 850 million bid for the Arcadia Group, advised by Clifford Chance.
Linklaters advised Merrill Lynch, financial adviser to Taveta.
Most odds-on deal: Birmingham's Wragge & Co advised William Hill on the 20 million purchase of H&K Commissions, a chain of 35 bookmakers in London and Essex, advised by City firm Tarlo Lyons, and 9.4 million acquisition of Regal Sunderland Stadium, advised by Eversheds.
Highest deal: London firm Collyer-Bristow acted for ceiling products manufacturer SAS Group on the 46 million sale of its distribution division, CCF, to Travis Perkins, advised by Hewitson Becke & Shaw in Cambridge.
Pensions firm Sacker & Partners also advised CCF.
Most rural deal: City firm Field Fisher Waterhouse advised the Southern Counties Agricultural Trading Society (SCATS) on the corporate and commercial aspects of the sale of its country store retailing business to Mole Valley Farmers, advised by Veale Wasbrough, creating a business with a 65 million turnover.
SCATS, advised on property matters by Winchester-based Godwins, has retained ownership of its 12 million portfolio of freehold premises and has leased them to Mole Valley.
Best marketed deal: Slaughter and May acted for Grosvenor's Arkle Fund on its 65 million sale of the Market Place shopping centre in Bolton to Warner Estates Holdings, acquired through a company owned equally by Warner Estates and Bank of Scotland.
London firm Boodle Hatfield advised the fund on the property due diligence and related aspects, a role undertaken by KSB Law for the joint venture, which was advised in the main by Clifford Chance.
Flightiest deal: City firm Ashurst Morris Crisp acted for BAE Systems on the sale of the 525-acre Dunsfold Aerodrome site in Surrey to Dunsfold Park, for an undisclosed sum.
Davies Arnold Cooper represented the purchaser.
Most entertaining deal: Westminster firm Bircham Dyson Bell acted for Metrodome Group on the 1.25 million acquisition of Loonland Home Entertainment Ventures from TV-Loonland, advised by London firm Goodman Derek.
Most sparkling deal: Travers Smith Braithwaite acted for Lothbury Property Trust Company on its 540 per sq ft letting of 31 James Street in Covent Garden for 15 years to jewellery designer Kit Heath, advised by Exeter-based Michelmores.
The rental cost is a record for a Covent Garden property and will add up to 292,500 per annum.
