Most galactic deal: City firm Travers Smith advised private equity firm TA Associates on its £740 million acquisition of Jupiter Asset Management from Commerzbank. City firms Norton Rose and Allen & Overy acted for the management and the banks respectively. Clifford Chance advised the vendor.



Handiest deal: City firm Pritchard Englefield advised Shenzhen Zhong Tian Communication Equipments, a China-based designer and assembler of mobile phone handsets, on its admission to AIM. The deal involved a reverse acquisition of Cassian Investments, a cash shell. UK/Canada firm Fasken Martineau Stringer Saul advised Cassian, while US/UK firm Reed Smith Richards Butler acted for nominated adviser Corporate Synergy.



Best defended deal: National firm Pinsent Masons advised WS Atkins on its £19 million acquisition of Advantage Business Group, an independent defence consultancy. Regional firm Shoosmiths acted for the vendors.



Bounciest deal: City firm Taylor Wessing acted for Trampoline Systems on a £3 million financing round which will allow it to develop its enterprise software. City firm Simmons & Simmons acted for the Tudor Group, which provided the funds.



Most refreshing deal: The Bristol office of Osborne Clarke advised the management of Bottlegreen Drinks on a buyout of the business for an undisclosed sum. Bottlegreen produces non-alcoholic cordials and sorbets. Regional firm Bond Pearce advised Piper Private Equity, which backed the deal. Cheltenham firm Rickerbys acted for outgoing management, while Bristol firm Burges Salmon advised debt provider HSBC.



Most relaxing deal: City firm Trowers & Hamlins advised private equity fund GI Partners on a multi-million pound management buyout of holiday parks operator Park Resorts from ABN AMRO Capital. CMS Cameron McKenna advised the vendor, while UK firm Dickson Minto acted for the management.
