Fladgate, one of the first leading firms to issue financials as the results season gets under way, has posted another record year for profit per equity partner.

Income climbed 10% to £74m and PEP to at least £930,000 in the year to 31 March 2023, the top-100 outfit announced today. Last year PEP came to over £875,000.

Income has risen 43% in the last two years.

Fladgate said the results reflect 'continued growth and progress in delivering the firm’s business strategy, which aims to accelerate the model of providing an "Unlimited Partnership" (a differentiated personal, agile and enterprising approach to service that is clearly differentiated) to its client base of fast-growing and sector leading businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals.

'All practices [saw] strong client demand and revenue growth,' it added.

Fladgate has added six new partners since April 2022 through lateral hires, which in combination with five internal promotions took the total number of partners to 92.

Managing partner Grant Gordon said: 'The political and economic environment has been volatile so it is all the more pleasing to report positive results. The current market opportunity for Fladgate, given its focus on premium work for fast-moving and entrepreneurial businesses and HNWIs, has held up well. Indeed, ongoing economic challenges actually present quite a few opportunities for our clients and therefore for the firm.'
