National top 100 firm Bevan Brittan has posted a 14% rise in profit on income up 5% for the latest financial year.

Hailing ‘steady growth’ for the fifth year in succession, the firm has reported net profit of £8m (£7m in 2016) on revenues of £39.2m (£37.5m). Gross profit climbed to £26.2m from £24.6m.

Bevan Brittan, a 400-strong public sector specialist, has 58 partners across offices in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds.

Developments in the year included bringing in-house 90 onsite administrators provided by legal support services firm Intelligent Office. The firm was reappointed by major client NHS Resolution, formerly the NHS Litigation Authority.

11 graduate trainees joined the firm in 2016/17, its highest intake since 2009. Nine school-leavers joined as apprentices working towards becoming chartered legal executives.
