Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury is to speak on the opening day of the biggest event in London's legal calendar. The former Supreme Court president was today named as a keynote speaker for International Arbitration Day, the opening event of London International Disputes Week (LIDW), on 1 June. He will be joined by arbitration specialists Toby Landau KC, and Karyl Nairn KC.

International Arbitration Day events will take place at hubs: 3 Verulam Buildings, Debevoise & Plimpton, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. It is the first year that a set of chambers has hosted one of the IAD hubs. Reflecting this year’s theme, 'Tradition, trust and transformation in international dispute resolution', IAD will explore trends shaping international arbitration and highlight London’s continued position as a leading global centre for international dispute resolution.

The event will feature concurrent sessions addressing critical developments in international arbitration, including: geopolitical shifts in investment treaty arbitration; enforcement and recognition across borders and technology, AI and the future of practice.
