Linklaters pioneers launch of share plan qualification
City firm Linklaters has joined forces with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators to launch a qualification in employee share plans for company secretaries, in response to growing litigation in the area.
The course - also aimed at human resources personnel and financial services providers - operates via a Web site featuring course material devised jointly by Linklaters and the institute, e-learning tools and news bulletins.
The firm's head of global employee incentives, Janet Cooper, explained that it approached the institute after clients expressed interest in giving their staff a fuller grounding in how the plans work to avoid litigation.
