In last week’s Gazette, the LSC’s spokesman said the commission is working with representative groups and planning how best to support providers.

To my knowledge, no such work beyond any normal routine contact is under way in conjunction with the Law Society, Criminal Law Solicitors Association, London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association or the Legal Aid Practitioners Group – all of whom remain firmly opposed to the BVT scheme.

Perhaps the LSC could help by giving us details of these other representative groups, because I for one would like to meet them.
