Staff at Shoosmiths have the chance to win £25,000 towards the deposit for a home or a brand new car as part of a challenge set by the national firm to build better client relationships or results, it has emerged.
The firm’s chief executive, David Jackson, posted on LinkedIn that, over the past year, Shoosmiths has been making a ‘conscious shift’ in how clients are served. ‘We set a clear challenge to everyone in the firm: if you can improve how we build relationships or deliver results, step forward and own it. Turn ideas into action. Make it measurable. Make it matter,’ Jackson said.
The firm has been running quarterly competitions themed around client excellence. Prizes, supplied by clients, include tech prizes and vouchers for retail outlets such as Next or Morrisons. The annual 'grand prize', also supplied by clients, at the end of the ‘client excellence agenda’ is a car or £25,000 towards a deposit on a home.
Last December Shoosmiths made an extra £1m available in the annual bonus after reaching one million AI prompts. Earlier in the year the firm announced that all 1,300 eligible employees would receive a 5% salary bonus for 2024/25 after profit per equity partner exceeded £1m for the first time.
