Billing project: The London office of US firm WilmerHale advised IT services company Microgen on the £7.5m sale of its billing services division to Swiss Post, advised by City firm Taylor Wessing.

Lottery result:The London office of US firm Shearman & Sterling advised Royal Bank of Scotland, Banca IMI, Calyon Crédit Agricole, and UniCredit Group as joint lead managers on a €750m (£679m) loan note issue by Lottomatica Group, the Italian lottery company. Lottomatica was advised by Italian firm Chiomenti.

Town planning: City and national firm Eversheds advised Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation on its proposal for a £500m public-private partnership regeneration deal to build a new town centre and up to 3,500 homes in Purfleet, Essex. The Department for Communities and Local Government, which gave the go-ahead to the proposal, was advised by its in-house team.
