‘Come gather round people, wherever you roam…’ yes, it’s time to announce the winner of Obiter’s legal protest song competition. Alas the entries didn’t reveal a pool of budding Pete Seegers or Tracy Chapmans, but we had a few creditable stabs at updating Blowin’ in the Wind and We Shall Overcome.

An honourable mention to Anthony Hall for his chorus ‘The risk my learned friend, would be justice unpinned/The risk would be justice dimmed.’

However the prize goes to Rhys Davies for ‘We Shall Be On Call’ to the tune of ‘We Shall Overcome.’ A signed white label copy of Tom Robinson’s new album Only the Now is in the post.
