The Legal Aid Practitioners Group knows all too well the stresses of working in legal aid, which might explain some of the sessions it has arranged as part of its week-long annual conference, which opens today. (Online, of course.)

There are half-hour Pilates sessions on Tuesday and Friday ‘designed to get you moving and stretching’. On Tuesday, there is an hour-long interactive Caribbean cook-along and cocktails with TV chef Shivi Ramoutar. On Thursday night, legal broadcaster Clive Coleman will host a ‘Legal Aid Quiz of the Year’ which, despite the name, will contain no questions on legal aid.

Who said conferences were boring?
