Heard the one about the law firm sponsoring a panto? Oh yes you’re about to!

East Anglia firm Ellisons Solicitors is taking centre stage as the headline sponsor of this year’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester.

The show is renowned as one of the best in the region and has already sold 15,000 tickets for its seven-week run starting in November. The show also has an over-18s version on selected nights which is absolutely not suitable for the little ones.

The partnership was marked last week with a surprise visit to Ellisons’ Colchester head office by the panto’s returning duo Antony Stuart-Hicks (Dame Maris Piper) and Dale Superville (Spud). They enjoyed a tour of the office and even did a stint on reception.

Ellisons managing partner Guy Longhurst said: ‘We are committed to supporting local organisations who benefit our community and lives of local residents, so we are very excited to sponsor the delivery of such a fabulous family pantomime.’
