A high-profile media firm that specialised in reputation protection and management has announced it has closed its practice.

PSB Law, based in London’s West End, has placed a notice on its website saying it ‘ceased to practice as a firm of solicitors from the close of business on Monday’.

The notice added that the LLP will remain open for the purpose of concluding administration matters.

The firm was established in 2010 to act for clients ranging from high-profile figures to those who found themselves thrust into the media spotlight.

The firm’s partners, Eddie Parladorio, Simon Smith, Hanna Basha and Magnus Boyd, all formerly worked together at Schillings.

Parladorio is listed on the PSB website as one of two contacts for further details, with his email address linking him to media firm Manleys Solicitors. He has not yet responded to the Gazette’s request for comment.

A registered lawyer with the Football Association, Parladorio has experience advising professional football players and managers on contractual and media matters.

According to the firm’s Companies House records, Basha’s appointment a LLP member ended on 19 September.

The firm’s own entry on Legal 500 said it specialised in ‘litigating disputes, stopping stories before publication, securing damages and apologies for false and defamatory statements, achieving undertakings not to publish or republish private information, suing for breach of contract, and enforcing intellectual property rights (including copyright and trademarks)’.
