International top-10 firm Eversheds Sutherland has announced 29 promotions to the partnership, 55% of them women. The number is a slight fall from 2022, when 31 new partners were promoted, of which 65% were women.

The partnerships, which take effect from 1 May, are at offices in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Lee Ranson, chief executive, said: 'Each of our new partners has demonstrated outstanding technical excellence coupled with strong client relationship and team development skills and I look forward to seeing their careers continue to flourish. I am also pleased to see us continue to make progress in terms of the diversity of the cohort as we work towards our UK target of 35% female partners by 2027 and 10% ethnically diverse partners by 2025.'

Eversheds Sutherland also announced the promotion of 18 lawyers to legal director; 53% of this cohort are female.
